I have lived in Framilode with my husband and dogs for over 20 years having moved up from the South coast for work commitments.
We were made to feel so welcome by a wonderful community in a beautiful and unique place and diverse environment.
After retiring from 23 yrs in the airline industry I spent eight years organising Frampton Country Fair and have now retired completely. I enjoy gardening, cooking, walking, cold water swimming and training my dogs.
Being a Parish Councillor gives me the opportunity to contribute to the future of this special rural area in a modern world.

            Councillor Carl Bierer

I have lived in Saul for 20 Years with my wife and three daughters who are still at school. I work from home which gives me the opportunity to be available during the day to meet contractors and deal with other matters as they occur. I love the village and joined the council to have an input into the community whilst learning more about the area. It is very interesting and has enabled me to meet many local people I would not have otherwise met.

              Councillor James Bearman

I am the 5th generation Farmer on our Farm in Framilode. I have a young family who love spending time in the local park. I have a small campsite located on the banks of the river Severn, The river is my biggest interest in the local area due to its wildlife and uniqueness. With my family living here for many generations and hopefully many generations to come I decided to join the parish council to try and keep our Parish’s beautiful surroundings how they are.

                      Councillor Chris Butler

I was born in Frampton-on-Severn and have lived in this area for most of my life.  My wife and I have two children, and our entourage also includes two horses and two boxer dogs.  I have recently retired having served as IT director for a number of blue-chip companies.  I am enjoying having more time to walk the dogs around the area and being able to talk the locals I meet on the way.  Having a bit more free time gives me an opportunity to do what I can to help locally.

                        Clerk

                          Kay Brown

My husband and I moved to Saul in 2015 after trying for about four years to find a house in the area. We had already been spending time in the local area for a number of years. I love the parish and the surrounding areas in which I have spent many hours walking and exploring the varied public footpaths with our dogs. Now, after a short spell of four years living away from the Parish but still continuing in the role of Parish Clerk, my husband and I have moved back to Saul in September 2024. City life was definitely not for us.

My working history has mostly been in the Customer Service/Administration and regional manager roles. Much of the experience gained from these roles provides me with the experience needed for the role of Parish Clerk.

Please contact me if there is anything I can help you with and I will endeavour to resolve any question, query or problem you pass to me. Or I will find someone who can help you.

I moved into Saul just over 5 years ago. I am married with a daughter, stepson, grandson, granddaughter and 2 cats. I have always worked in Information Technology and most recently in the fascinating area of Cyber Security. I was elected to Stroud District Council in 2015 to represent Eastington and Standish, then was re-elected in 2016 to represent Severn Ward which now includes Eastington. I have been very involved in the West of Stonehouse development and opposing the Ecotricity proposal for a business park.
