TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH EFL 17 (FRETHERNE WITH SAUL PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) the Public Footpath EFL 17 from a point at Ordnance Survey Reference (OSGR) SO 75542/09450 extending in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 150 metres to its junction with Public Footpath EFL 28 at OSGR SO 7645/09351 as indicated on the plan by a solid black line marked A to B.
The said closure is necessary to protect the public whilst refurbishment works on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal sluices are completed.
The Order will come into force on the 13th July 2026 and it is anticipated that the Public Footpath will close on that day until 11th September 2026.
Alternative Route: as signed on site.
Emergency Service access and pedestrian access to any adjoining premises will be maintained.
